There is no testing standard yet but 2013 will bring some important developments in this area.
SAE J2953 The SAE Hybrid committee is working on a draft document, J2953 which will provide recommended testing procedures for PEV-EVSE compatibility. The current SAE J1772 standard does have a test procedure in its appendix. The J2953 draft will adopt this test procedure and build on it to provide more detailed methods for compatibility testing. Gridtest staff are actively contributing to this draft.
ISO/ IEC 15118-4/5 The ISO/IEC standards organization has a Joint Working Group for the definition of Vehicle to Grid Communication Interface (JWG V2G CI). They are working on a document for PEV –EVSE conformance testing called ISO/IEC 15118-4/5. A CD (Committee Draft) is expected in mid 2013.
